Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring for the weekend?

We made a packing list to help guide some decisions, but feel free to make any alterations you see fit. There are many hikes, climbing, and biking trails nearby. We will also be on the river. Feel free to bring any gear you deem reasonable for the activities you wish to partake in. There are also places to rent bikes in the Methow Valley if that is of interest!

Want to camp with us? Great! You will need to bring bedding as well as towels if you plan on showering. If you are coming from out of town we can set you up with a sleeping bag and a pillow - just ask! It will be chilly at night so we will have some extra blankets, but please keep that in mind when packing bedding.

Otherwise, bring anything else you may need for a weekend trip!

What is there to do in Mazama?

  • Go to the Mazama store and get some “crack” bread, coffee, breakfast, and lunch.

  • Go on a hike!

  • Get some groceries from Hank's Harvest Foods in Twisp. Trust us when we stay this is the most unique grocery store we have ever been to.

  • Go and swim at the swimming hole at Twisp Park.

  • Go on a bike ride or walk on the Methow Trails.

  • Go to a winery, brewery, or cider house! Tom and Elsa love Old Schoolhouse Brewery in Winthrop for a drink or dinner.

  • Go shopping in Winthrop. There are book stores, outdoor shops, art galleries, ice cream shops, and general tomfoolery with an old western twist.
